Duties And Responsibilities
1. Responsible for planning, executing, evaluating projects, overall direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, predetermined timelines commitment goals and budgets.
2. To ensure clients requirements are met, project is completed on time and within budget.
3. To help the organization streamline business processes, improve productivity and increase competitive advantage.
4. Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities.
5. Lead the planning and implementation of project.
6. Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
7. Define project tasks and resource requirements, provide direction and support to project team, develop full scale project plans, assemble and coordinate project staff.
8. Manage project resource allocation, track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
9. Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to the management.
10. Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
11. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
12. Organizes and conducts project team meetings.
13. Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management.
14. Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
15. Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project.
16. Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
17. Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
18. Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
19. In consultation with the management, recruit, interview and select staff with appropriate skills for the project activities.
20. Manage project staff according to the established policies and practices of the organization.
21. Ensure that project files are properly maintained and kept confidential.
22. Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project.
23. Contract qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate.
24. Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
25. Establish a communication schedule to update management including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.
26. Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
27. Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
28. Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date.
29. Identifies resources needed and works with all agency functions to assign individual responsibilities.
30. Creates and executes project work plans and timelines and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
31. Provides appropriate job specifications.
32. Works with production to create appropriate production schedules.
33. Prepares costing of completed works and co-ordinates with finance to ensure correct invoicing.
34. Conducts analysis of actual versus budgeted costs and submits regular reports to R&D Manager.
